I created this blog as a tool to help you develop your own independence in seeking out and gathering information. Bookmark the link to this blog - right now! If you want, you may also enter your email address in the Follow by Email if you want an email when posts are made. In the right-hand column, you will find some links to important resources for academic advising, major and career exploration, and involvement opportunities at JMU. Additionally, you can reference older posts by using the search bar or click through the Blog Archive.
One of the primary reasons I created this blog is to minimize the number of emails you receive. No one likes an overflowing inbox, right? It is your responsibility to check the blog to get this information. You will not receive an email to remind you to check the blog. When you do receive an email, it is because there is a specific task or action that you need to complete. Hello, responsibility!

Check if JMU Received DE Transcript(s)
Login to MyMadison and enter the Student Center. Click on the drop-down box, select Transfer Credit: Report, and click on the double-arrow next to the drop-down box. If JMU has received your transcripts, you will see the course equivalents here.If you received credit for SUBJ 000 (example HIST 000 or ISAT 000), this means that you received college credit, however JMU does not teach this exact course. Therefore, we cannot give you credit for a specific course, but we can give you college credit. Look to see how many credits you earned for SUBJ 000. If you earned 2 credits, those two credits will count as electives, and the 120 credits you need to earn to graduate from James Madison University is now at 118 credits.
If you do not see your classes listed from other institutions, contact the community college, college, or university you attended and request that an official copy of your final transcript be sent to James Madison University (James Madison University; Office of the Registrar; Attn: Liz Hash; Warren Hall; 170 Bluestone Drive, MSC 3528; Harrisonburg, VA 22807).
